Nicole Ari Parker, an American actor who has been featured in films and television and on stage is best known for playing Teri Joseph, a flamboyant attorney featured in Showtime's Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe became her stage name upon her marriage. Since childhood, Nikki Kodjoe was a naturally talented actor. In a Maryland competition with high school students, she took home the award for the best Actress. Alongside her involvement at the theater, she also worked with 'The Washington Ballet Company.' She received an acting degree from New York University. She received a lot of praise after her debut major performance on The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. This was followed by movies including 'Boogie nights Spark' and Blue Streak. Soul Food was an immensely loved TV show. Her appearances also appeared in TV series like Second Time Around" and Empire. Contractor Born at Mumbai in India and grew up in Nigeria through the age of seven. She'd been exposed to a lot of travel and different cultures at a very early age. After attending boarding school for seven years in London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she lived for most of her youth and early adulthood. Contractor trained and eventually became an expert in classical dancing in Toronto. She studied at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto, a school of the arts focused on dance and theater. Contractor, who had been dancing for nearly 10 years when she started and decided to focus on acting. After she had completed high school, she won an all-inclusive scholarship to the University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto she completed the Master of Arts in Theatre. She was also a double major in sociology and psychology. Contractor was a participant in the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After an entire year, she was given the lead part. The show she played in 92 performances were praised by Canadian theater critics. Contractor accepted an invitation to join Stratford's Conservatory. Only eight men selected and four females are admitted for a 20-week intensive course in the classical theatre. Contractor was guaranteed a spot in the following season of plays and landed the role as Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
